1985 Eldorado
Few changes were evident on the luxury front-drive personal coupe and convertible. The Biarritz convertible, introduced for 1984, could now get an optional electric defogger for its glass back window. New spoked aluminum alloy road wheels joined the option list. Standard engine remained the 4.1 liter V-8, with throttle-body fuel injection, hooked to four-speed overdrive automatic transmission. A big diesel V-8 also was available (at extra cost) in the coupe.
1985 Eldorado
Eldo's Biarritz coupe had a cabriolet vinyl roof with brushed steel cap, accent moldings, and opera lamps. Convertibles were similarly decked out. Touring Coupes had a stiffer suspension as well as blackout and body-color trim. Eldo coupes began at $21,355, but the convertible cost over $11,000 more. This would be the ragtop's final season, as Eldorado switched to a new body for 1986.
