LaSalle history 1928 and Books

The bodies were a continuation of the 1927 LaSalle line.

Fisher business coupe, five passenger family sedan on 125" wheelbase, five-passenger coupe, five-passenger cabriolet sedan, seven-passenger family sedan on 134" wheelbase added
Fleetwood coupe and sedan dropped, transformable town cabriolet on 134" wheelbase added in midyear
The five passenger standard sedan came with leather or metal back
The five-passenger and seven-passenger family sedans were "economy" version of the standard sedans
The five-passenger family sedan and the business coupe were offered at the new low price of $2350
Details remained the same except for added side ventilators in the cowl on closed cars and 28 louvers toward the rear of the hood panels on all body styles
The number of louvers might have signified the year, but Cadillac for 1928 had 30 louvers
The chassis, driveline, and engine were similar to the 1927 model except the shock absorbers were changed to Lovejoy hydraulic
The clutch changed to twin disc.
Many detail changes made to brakes and brake linkage, including 16" brake drums on front wheels and keeping the 14" brake drums on the rear.
