1992 Sedan DeVille

The lineup again consisted of Coupe DeVille, Sedan DeVille, and Touring Sedan (deVille).

• All were again powered by the 4.9-liter V-8 mated to the 4T60-E electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
• The DeVille's V-8 received platinum tipped spark plugs with a 100,000-mile replacement interval as standard equipment.
• Other new standard items (formerly offered as optional equipment) were an electrochromic automatic day/night inside rearview mirror, six-way power adjuster for the front passenger seat, and front and rear carpeted floor mats.
• New options included brake-only traction control (available only with Computer Command Ride), which regulated tire spin during acceleration; driver's side electrochromic outside rearview mirror; and Delco-Bose Gold Series CD sound system.
• New deVille features included six exterior colors: Slate Green, Light Beige (monotone only), Taupe, Autumn Brown, Academy Gray, and Dark Plum; three new lower accent molding colors: Light Beige, Academy Gray, and Dark Plum; and three new interior colors: Light Gray, Neutral, and Taupe.
• Other changes included revised seating in the Touring Sedan consisting of new split-frame Dual Comfort front seats trimmed in Beechwood leather with six-way power adjusters and power recliners and manual headrests.
• The rear seat was also redesigned and now featured two individual headrests.
• The deVille's throttle position sensor and throttle body design were upgraded to provide improved throttle feel.
• Also, DeVille's exhaust system featured new 2.5-inch diameter pipe and revised pipe routing.
• The Touring Sedan featured wide, chrome-plated bodyside molding with "Touring Sedan" identification located on the forward edge of the front doors; body-color front and rear fascia and body-color "sport" door handles.
• Only monotone color choices were available on the Touring Sedan, including five new colors: Slate Green, Light Beige, Royal Maroon, Academy Gray, and Dark Plum, and a vinyl top could not be ordered.
• A quicker 17:1 steering gear was exclusive to the Touring Sedan as were specific 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a distinctive wreath-and-crest center cap, Goodyear GA P215/60R16 tires were standard equipment.
